The Hekatron SCD-563 (Smoke Criteria Detector) is a smoke detector which is able to provide early detection of smouldering, glowing and open fires with smoke development. The light transmitters and receivers are arranged at the right angles in the sampling chamber in order to prevent the lightbeam of the transmitter from striking the receiver directly. When the smoke-scattered light reaches the receiver it is converted to an electric signal. When it reaches the alarm value, an alarm will automatically be sent to the control unit. The detector is constantly monitoring contamination by an advanced warning stage which communicates the conditions to the control unit. This will ensure an optimal functionality of the detector.
The scattered-light smoke detector SCD 563 is connected as a conventional fire detector to control panels with current increase. A 2-wire cable connects the control panel to the detectors in series.
