The Hekatron SCD-573 (Smoke Criteria Detector) is a smoke detector which is able to provide early detection of smouldering, glowing and open fires with smoke development. The light transmitters and receivers are arranged at the right angles in the sampling chamber so it prevents the lightbeam of the transmitter from striking the receiver directly. When the smoke-scattered light reaches the receiver it is converted to an electric signal. When it reaches the alarm value, an alarm will automatically be sent to the control unit. The detector constantly monitors for contamination by means of an advanced warning stage which communicates the condition to the control unit. This will ensure optimal functionality of the detector.
The SCD-573 model has an ring circuit to which up to 127 addresses can be connected.
